We opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance with the spouse’s in attendance.
Suspended the business or electing our next Troop Rep to discuss where the next Charley Troop reunion
will be held. The floor was open to everyone and after much discussion the 2008 C Troop Reunion will
be held in Pigeon Forge Tn.
The spouses were asked to leave and C troopers went on with our business meeting.
Pete Staford C Troop Rep. nominated Juan Cantu to take over as the new Rep. Juan agreed to do this as
long as he had the time to put into it, noted he was still working and raising a family.
Sherwood Dickie asks if C Troop would like to make a donation to the Doug Halas, MS Memorial Fund.
After some discussion it was agreed to give $200 to the Memorial Fund, andMike Cook said he will send
Sherwood a check after he returned home.
There was some decision about the Patches for the 3/5 cav. Mike Wahl said he would give the
Quartermaster a copy of the patch he had when he returned from Vietnam. (With the Knight all in black)
He would like to have that patch made available at reunions to come.
Chris Delwiche asked the troop to think about adding a C Troop stone at the Fort Knox Memorial of the
Black Knights everyone agreed this would be something we would like to do. We are looking at the 2010
C Troop Reunion in Louisville KY for the dedication.
