C - Troop News 3/5 CAV

Well its time for a new newsletter and once again I'm writing it so

let me bring everyone up to date. At the Big Sky reunion after the

memorial service all Troops had businesses meeting’s to elect new or

used Reps. Our own Pete Stafford has said he had enough and it is

time for some new blood. Pete nominated Juan Cantu to take over

and he was elected to represent us. However after the reunion was

over, Juan’s employer decided to change his hours and he realized he

would not have the time for the job. He called as soon as he found

out, talked to me about it, I called Pete and together we are taking

over the Reps job. That should bring everyone up to date so far,

and now on to the good stuff.

The C Troop Reunion will be held at the Music Road Inn in Pigeon

Forge. May 7th - 10th. I know it is Mother’s day on the 11th

so we will have a Reunion Mothers Day Dinner on the night of the

10th. My apologies' to all of the mothers, but this is the best date we

could get. The Inn is Non Smoking however we do have 6 smoking

rooms set aside at the motel just across the parking lot ( its the same

complex ). The room rates are $94.00 + tax 11.75% a night and this

rate is good from May 4th –May 15th.We have a cut off date for reservations

and that date is March 23rd 2008, be sure to tell them you

are with The BLACK KNIGHTS. ( If you are late the motel will

charge the full rate of $114.00 to $150.00 a night plus taxes ) So if

you want a 2 week vacation at a group rate, there you are. All rooms

are 2 Queen beds with private balconies. All are oversized rooms

with microwaves & refrigerators. We have a toll free number to

make reservations the number is 1-866-4429-8803. Tell them you

are with the Black Knights. If you want a smoking room be sure to

tell them you want the Motel not the Lodge. The Lodge is all nonsmoking.

There is a continental breakfast from 6 to 10 am, with biscuits gravy,

fresh fruits, hot cinnamon rolls, bagels, English muffins and donuts.

(Free ) The indoor pool, exercise room and Jacuzzi are open 24 –7 and

there are shuttles that run every 15 minutes for shopping. The hospitality

room will open at 1pm on Thursday and we have that room until 12pm

on the 10th. Friday at 4 PM we will have a Smoky Mountain Cookout

Picnic (optional) in the Hospitality Room Everyone will need a ticket

the cost will be $15.00 each Menu will be Angus beef hamburgers / hot

dogs / chips / potato salad / cole slaw /cheese and all of the condiments /

iced tea and lemonade. The Hospitality Room will also have cokes / beer

and so on. Saturday night the 10th for our ( Mothers Day –Reunion ) Dinner

each person will need to buy a ticket at the cost of $30.00.

Menu: chicken herb roasted / bar-b-q ribs / pulled pork (w/ BBQ sauce on

side ) / potato salad / cole slaw / baked beans / corn on the cob / dinner rolls &

butter / peach cobbler / iced tea ,coffee and lemonade The Hospitality room

will also have cokes / beer and so on. For the two meals I will need a number

to give the Motel so if you are going to attend the Reunion and not eat Please

let me know. The Hospitality Room has a budget of $250.00 for the drinks so

if you want something special please feel free to bring it as we need to stay in

the budget. I hope we have a good turnout and remember reach out and find a

Brother. We need all the FNGS we can get.
